REGULATE THE_FORM OF BOND AND SECURITY TO BE GIVEN
TO
FAITHFUL DISCHARGE
BY THE PROVIêIONAL TREASURER FOR THE

"
Passed the 23rd of July 1852
WHEREAS it is expedient and necessary to provide
for the forms of Bonds and the amount of Security to be
given by the Provisional Treasurer ôf the Provisional Coun-
cil of the County of Elgin.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Provisional Muni-
cipal Council of the County of Elgin in Council assembled
under and by virtue of the Upper Canada Municipal Corpora-
tion and Territorial Divisions Acts and it is hereby en-
acted by authorit~ of the same that it shall be the duty
of the Provisional Treasurer appointed by the Provisional
Council of the County of Elgin to deposit with the Pro-
visional Clerk before entering upon the duties of
this office a Bond duly executed as follows:
Know all men by these presents that we, A. B.,
Provisional Treasurer of the Provisional Municipal Council
of the County of Elgin and Province of Canada and

are held and firmly bound into the Provisional Council of
the County of Elgin in the sum of Three Thousand Pounds cur-
rency to be well and truly paid to the said Provisional
Council of the County of Elgin or their successors in office
for which payment well and truly to be made to the said Pro-
visional Council of the County of Elgin. We bind ourselves
jointly and severally our heirs, executors and administrators
firmly by these presents sealed with. our seals and dated this
day of in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight
Hundred and Fifty-Two
The condition of the above Bond is such that if the above
bounden A. B. shall faithfully perform the duties of Provi-
sional Treasurer and shall duly account for all monies re-
ceived by him or deposited in any office subject to his order
and all monies disbursed by him by virtue of his office and
shall duly account for and pay all monies which shall come in-
to his hand as such Provisional Treasurer as directed by Law
or by the order in Councilor By-Law of the Provisional Coun-
cil of the County of Elgin and strictly conform and obey any
Law of the Province or any such order in Council on any such

By~Law lawfully made by the Provisional Council of the Mu-
nicipality of the County of Elgin then this obligation to
be null and void or else to remain in full force and virtue
