023 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 23 TO DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF SALARIES AND WAGES AND CONFIRM !HE_~PPOINTMENTS OF THE ~Ul1ICIPAL OFF~CERS OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN Ahtl"p__TO REPEAL BY-LAW NUMBER FOURTEEN HERE'rOFORE PA::?S?D I},.L_RE:f.~RENCJ~.._TO THE. SAl'!l~." Passed 5th April 1855. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Elgin by and under authority of the Munici- pal Corporations Acts for Upper Canada and by virtue of the same: That William McKay be Clerk of this Council and shall receive as a salary the sum of One hundred pounds per annum - That Henry Black be Treasurer of this County and shall receive a salary of Seventy pounds in lieu of all fees That George T. Claris, G. Matthew Childs be Auditors and receive the sum of ten shillings per day - That Richard Willis be messenger and receive seven shillings and sixpence per day- That Charles Fraser be County Engineer and receive fifteen shillings per day - That James Greer be Road Superintendent and receive fifteen shillings per day.
