033 COUNTY OF ELGIN JJ By-Law No IMPROVEMENT TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FIFTY POUNDS FOR THE ROAD BETWEEN THE 91' THE " TOWNSHIPS OF BAYHAM AND HOUGHTON Passed 14th November 1855 WHEREAS the line of Road between the Townships of Bayham and Houghton being the line between the Counties of Elgin and Norfolk and subject to the control of the Munici- pal Corporation of both said counties, it is deemed expedi- ent to grant the sum of Fifty pounds for the improvementuof the said line of Road. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Elgin constituted and assembled under the authority of the Municipal Corporations Acts of Upper Canada that the sum of Fifty pounds be appropriated for the im- provement of the line of Road between the Townships of Bayham and Houghton and that the Reeves of the Township of Bayham be Commissioners for expending the same. BE IT FURTHER enacted that the Warden of this County if hereby authorized upon receiving a certificate from the said Commissioners that a part or the whole of the work has been performed to sign a draft on the Treasurer of the County of Elgin for such sum as may be named in the said Certificate and not exceeding in the whole the sum of Fifty pounds. AND BE IT FURTHER enacted that this By-Law shall have no force and effect whatsoever until the passing of a By-Law in similar terms and appropriating a like sum for the improvement of said Road by the County of Norfolk County Council Thos.
