WHEREAS by the Municipal Act it is therein re-
cited that the Municipal Council of each County shall have
power to make By-Laws for the improving of any road on the
bounds of any Incorporated Village lying within the bound-
aries of such County as the interests of the inhabitants
of such County at large shall in the opinion of the Munici-
pal Council require to be so improved and also for the pro-
tection and preservation of any timer, stone, sand or gra-
vel growing or being upon any allowance or appropriation
for any such County road.
AND WHEREAS in the opinion of the Municipal
Council of the County of Elgin the interests of the inhabi-
tants of said County at large require said boundary to be
so improved and preserved
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Council
of the County of Elgin under the authority aforesaid -
That Asa Howard and Andrew Miller be and are here-
by appointed Overseers or Commissioners for the improvement
of that part of the Boundary line between the Incorporated
Village of St. Thomas and the Municipality of Yarmouth being
between the seventh and eighth concessions of Yarmouth in
the said County of Elgin and also for the protection and pre-
servation of the timber, stone, sand or gravel growing or
being upon said boundary line or allowance for road.
AND BE IT FURTHER enacted that this By-Law shall
have no force or effect until a By-Law in similar terms and
for the same object shall have been passed by the Municipal
Council of the Incorporated Village of St Thomas.
