WHEREAS by the acts Eighteenth Victoria Chapter
135 and twenty-second Victoria Chapter ninety-nine section
274, the Municipal Council of every County is thereby author-
ized to pass By-Laws for appointing Inspectors to regulate
Weights and Measures according to the lawful standard.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the
Corporation of the County of Elgin in Council assembled
and by virtue of the authority aforesaid and all acts in
force in reference to the same.
That Thomas Brown of St. Thomas be and is here-
by appointed Inspector of Weights and Measures for the
West Riding òf the County of Elgin and the Villages of
St. Thomas and Port Stanley in the East Riding of said
County.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted by the authority aforesaid
that John P. McDonald of Vienna be and is hereby appointed
Inspector of Weights and Measures for the East Riding of the
County of Elgin excepting the Villages of St. Thomas and
Port Stanley in said East Riding.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that By-Law No. 32 here-
tofore passed appointing an Inspector of Weights and
Measures be repealed.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that the County Clerk be
and is hereby authorized to procure a set of Standard Weights
and Measurês for the use of said Inspectors and their suc-
cessors.
