091 COUNTY OF ELGIN 91 By-Law No 4 HERETOFORE PASSED BY THE COUNCIL TO AMEND BYLAW NUMBER OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN RELATING TO THE DISPOSAL OF PART OF THE ORIGINAL ALLOWANCE FOR TOWNSHIP LINE BETWEEN THE TOWN- SHIPS OF YARMOUTH AND SOUTH DORCHESTER' Passed 8th November 1860 WHEREAS a Bylaw numbered 74 having been passed by the County Council of the County of Elgin for the purpose of disposing of certain portions of the original àllowance for Township line between the Townships of Yarmouth and South Dorchester to Edwin Culver and John Learn which Bylaw No. 74 contains a proviso to the following effect. "That before the transfer of said allowance is made under' this Bylaw, that the said John Learn is to conveyor Secure to Ransom Dexter or the owner of the South West quarter of lot number twenty-four in the twelfth Concession of the said Township of South Dorchester a right or conveyance of said allowance to be transferred to him by this Bylaw or a portion thereof to be seventy-two rods in length and two rods in width as and for a lane or road for him, said R. Dexter, to have free access to his premises:." AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend said Bylaw number 74 in so far as the same relates to that portion thereof of seventy-two rods in length and two rods in width of the original allowance for said Township line reserved to R. Dexter for access to his premises. AND WHEREAS it has been represented to this Council that said R. Dexter actually requires the full width of said road and seventy-two rods in length thereof for egress and ingress to his residence, it is therefore considered necessary to repeal that portion of said Bylaw disposing of any portion of said seventy-two rods in length adjoining the south part of said Dexter land and enact that the whole width of said original allowance for Road be- tween Yarmouth and South Dorchester adjoining the south part of the south half of Lot humber nineteen in the tenth Concession of the said Township of Yarmouth be not disposed of but remain open to the public as a public Road. cont'd) ( By-Law No. 91 Page 2 BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the County Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin that said Bylaw number seventy-four of this Council be amended in so far as the same relates to the disposal seventy-two rods in length of the said original allowance between the Townships of Yarmouth and South Dorchester adjoining the south part of the south half of lot number nineteen on the tenth Con- cession of Yarmouth aforesaid and the South part of lot number twenty-four in the twelfth Concession of the said Township of South Dorchester. BE IT ALSO enacted that said seventy-two rods in length of said original allowance be not disposed of bµt remain open for the pUblic as a Public Road.
