098 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No, 98 "TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS TOWARDS THE ERECTION OF A BRIDGE ACROSS THE RIVER THAMES AT OR NEAR WARDS\IlILLE." Passed 30th January 1862. WHEREAS a further sum being required for the erection of the Wardsville Bridge across the River Thames and the Council of the County of Elgin having been informed that the Council of Corporation of the County of Middlesex have appropriated the sum of four hundred dollars towards the erection of the said Bridge on the boundary between the said Counties of Elgin and Middlesex. IT IS THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin that the sum of four hundred dollars be and is hereby appropriated toward the erection of a bridge across the River Thames at or near the VilUag~ of Wardsville. AND IT IS also enacted that the Warden of the County of Elgin be and is hereby authorised to execute a contract in connection with the Council of the Corporation of the County of Middlesex for said amount or so much there- of as may be required to complete said Bridge.
