TO PROVIDE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE BOUNDARY LINES BETWEEN

Passed 23rd June 1864.
THE COUNTY OF ELGIN AND ADJOINING COUNTIES
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to make provisions
for the improvement of the boundary lines between the Côunty
of Elgin and the adjoining Counties.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Council
of the County of Elgin by virtue of the 327 Section of the
Munici~al Institutions Ac~ 22nd Victoria, Chapter 54 of the
Conso11dated Statutes of Upper Canada.
THAT the sum of One Hundred Dollars be appropriated
towards the improvement of the Bridges and the Allowance for
Road between the Townships of Bayham and }!oughton and Middle-
ten on the boundary between the Counties of Elgin and Norfolk
provided the Council of Norfolk grant a like amount in one or
several sums for said purpose and that the Reeve of Bayham be
a commissioner to expend said amount.
THAT the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars be
appropriated towards the repair of the Allowance for Road be-
tween the Townships of Aldborough and Orford on the boundary
between the Counties of Elgin and Kent and that the Reeve of
Aldborough be a commissioner to expend said amount provided
the Council of the County of Kent grant a like sum for said
purpose.
THAT the sum of Fifty Dollars be appropriated to
the improvement of the County line between the Townships of
Yarmouth and Westminster provided the Council of:Middlesex
appropriate a like amount and that Hugh McIntyre, Councillor
Yarmouth, be Qommissioner to expend said amount
THAT the sum of Fifty Dollars be granted to repair
the County line between Townships of Bayham and Dereham pro-
vided the Council of Oxford grant a like sum for the same
purpose and the Reeve of Bayham expend said amount.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that thé sum of Fifty Dollars
be granted to improve the County line between Elgin and Middle-
sex, namely the allowance for Road between the Townships of
South Dorchester in Elgin and North Dorchester in Middlesex
and between South Dorchester in Elgin and Westminster in Middle-
sex provided the Council of Middlesex grant a like amount and
that the Reeve of South Dorchester be a commissioner to expend
the same

AND IT IS enacted under any by virtue of the 342nd
Section of said Act, that the sum of Six Hundred Dollars be
granted towards the debt of building the MacKintosh Bridge
across the River Thames and that said amount be paid to the
Chairman on behalf of the Bridge Committee and applied to the
liquidation of the debt for the original erection thereof and
that the Warden sign an order on the County Treasurer for the
amount.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that the several amounts
hereinbefore appropriated shall be paid by the County Treasurer
on certificate of the several Reeves that the amounts have
been duly expended and the Work performed.
AND IT IS enacted that this By-Law shall be in force
from and after the date of passing thereof.
