By-Law No. 123
"TO APPOINT AN INSPECTOR OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES FOR THE
EASTERN DIVISION OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN AND AMEND BY-LAW
NUMBER ONE HUNDRED AND THIR TEEN. "
Passed 26 January 1865.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to appoint an Inspec-
tor of Weights and Measures for the Eastern Division of the
County of Elgin in place of J. P. McDonald, who has resigned.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Council
of the County of Elgin by virtue and under authority of the
Act Twenty-second Victoria, Chapter Fifty-eight Of the Con-
solidated Statutes for Upper Canada.
THAT Henry C. Hughes of Aylmer be and is hereby
appointed Inspector of Weights and Measures for the Eastern
Division of the County of Elgin, comprising the Municipalities
of Vienna, Bayham, South Dorchester, Malahide and Yarmouth.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted by the authority afDresaid
that Henry C. Hughes be the Senior Inspector of said County
of Elgin.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that By-Law Number One Hund-
red and Thirteen be amended in so far as relates to the appoint-
ment of an Inspector for the Eastern Division of the County
and' also so far as relates to the appointment of Senior Inspec-
tor for said County.
AND also that this By-Law shall take effect from and
after the date of the passing thereof.
