By-Law No. 126
TO APPOINT GRAMMAR SCHOOL TRUSTEES FOR THE GRAMMAR SCHOOLS
IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN AND PROVIDE SUPPORT OF SAID SCHOOLS."
Passed 26th January 1865.
WHEREAS it is expedient and necessary to appoint
Grammar School Trustees for the Grammar Schools in the County
of Elgin and to pròvide for the support of said Schools.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Council of
the Corporation of the County of Elgin by virtue of the Gram-
mar School Act, Chapter Sixty-three of the Consolidated Stat-
utes for Upper Canada and under Authority thereof.
THAT Rev. John McMillan and the Rev. E. Sheppard
be and are hereby reappointed Trustees of the St. Thomas
County Grammar School with term of office for four years, and
that Charles Dranski and L. G. Gundry be reappointed Trustees
of the Vi·enna.Counj;y Grammar School with term of office for
four years.
AND IT IS HEREBY enacted by virtue of the Sixteenth
Section of said Grammar School Act, that the sum of Four Hund-
red Dollars be granted towards the salary of the Teacher of
the St. Thomas County Grammar School for the current year and
that the sum of Two Hundred Dollars be appropriated towards the
payment of the Teacher of the Vienna County Grammar School for
the present year.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that this By-Law take effect
from and after the date of passing thereof.
