136 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 136 "TO CONFIRM BY-LAW NUMBER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY NINE OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHWOLD." WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Southwold on the sixteenth day of September A.D. 1865 passed By-Law Number one hundred and twenty-nine for the purpose of conveying to Ann Mandeville the allowance for Road between Lots Number forty-three and forty-four, South of Talbot Road East in the Township of Southwold, con- taining four acres more or less. Said allowance having been reported as not being practicable for a Road. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the Cor- poration of the County of Elgin by virtue of the 343rd Section of the Consolidated Municipal Institutions Act for Upper Can- ada that said By-Law Number one hundred and twenty-nine of the Municipal Council of the Township of Southwold be and is hereby confirmed. AND IT IS enacted that, this By-Law shall be in force and take effect from and after the date of the passing there- of. Passed in Council the Twenty-fifth day of January A.D. 1866. WHEREAS the original road allowance between Lots No. 43 & 44 South on Talbot Road East in the Township of Southwold being condemned by Daniel Hanvey Esquire, Deputy Provincial Land Surveyor, as not being practicable for a road according to a report hereto annexed. AND WHEREAS over one month's notice has been given of the intention to pass this Œy-Law at the present session of this Council and to submit the same to the County Council for their approval be putting up six written notices in aSi:many different places in the vicinity of the said Road allowance, as well as publishing the same in the St. Thomas Rough Notes for three successive weeks. AND WHEREAS Ann Mandeville has made application to the Municipality of Southwold to purchase the said road allow- ance for which she will pay the sum of Thirty dollars per acre THE Municipal Council of the Township of Southwold by virtue of the authority vested in them by 12th Victoria, Chapter 332 of the Municipal Institution Act of Upper Canada, hereby conveys to and vest in Ann Mandeville the allowance of road between Lots Number 43!,& 44 South of Talbot Road East in the Township of Southwold containing four acres more or less.
