144 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 144 "TO AUTHORIZE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN 10 APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS TOWARD THE ERECTION OF A BRIDGE ACROSS THE RIVER THAMES NEAR THE CURRIE ROAD". Passed 21st June 1866. WHEREAS it is expedient to appropriate the sum of two thousand dollars towards the erection of a bridge across the River Thames on the boundary between the Coun- ties of Elgin and Middlesex west of or near the Currie Road in the Township of Dunwich. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Elgin by virtue and under authori tY'Jof the 327 section of the Municipal Institutions Act Chapter 54 of the Consolidated Statutes for Upper Canada, that the sum of two thousand dollars be granted towards the erection of a bridge across the Rivèr Thames on the boundary between Currie Road in the Township of Dunwich provided the Council of the County of Middlesex appropriate a similar amount for said work. Passed in Council the 21st June A.D. 1866. AND IT IS enacted that this By-Law shall take effect from and after the date of the passing thereof. County of Elgin T. M.
