By-Law No. 170
"TO MAKE CERTAIN APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
bOUNTY LINES."
Passed 18 June 1868.
WHEREAS it is expedient to make appropriations
for the improvement of County and Township Roads and Bridges
in and on the boundary of the County of Elgin.
IT IS THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the
County of Elgin
THAT the sum of One Hundred and Fifty dollars be
granted to improve the road between Lots Number Thirty and
Thirty-one in the Tenth Concession of Malahide travelled in
place of the County line between the Townships of Dereham
and Malahide.
THAT the sum of Forty Dollars be granted on the
County line between the Townships of Dorchester and Dereham.
THAT One Hundred and Fifty Dollars be granted to
improve the County line between Bayham and Houghton, South
of the Talbot Road.
THAT Fifty Dollars be grantèd to Southwold on
account of the Port Stanley Bridge.
THAT Fifty Dollars be granted to Yarmouth on
account of the Port Stanley Bridge.
THAT Twenty Dollars be granted to repair the County
line between Sou~ñwold and Delaware.
THAT One Hundred and Fifty Dollars be granted to
improve the County line between Aldborough and Orford.
AND IT IS enacted that the amounts herein granted
be paid by the County Treasurer on certificate of the sev-
eral Reeves that the amounts have been duly expended and
that a like amount has been appropriated by the adjoining
Counties or Municipalities and that the Reeves of the several
Municipalities be Commissioners for expending said amounts
AND that this By-Law shall be in force from and
after the date of the passing thereof.
