186 COUNTY OF ELGIN By~Law No. 186 "TO CONFIRM BY-LAW NUMBER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-NINE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH". WHEREAS on the fourth day of May one;thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, the Council of the Municipality of the Township of Dunwich passed By-Law Number one hundred and sixty- nine to convey to Robert Backus and James Cremean the original road allowance between the ninth and tenth concessions and run- ning along Lots 13 & 14 in said concessions in the Township of Dunwich for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars as in copy of said By-Law hereunto annexed. WHEREAS by the second subsection of Section 345 of the Municipal Institutions Act 29-30 Victoria Chapter 51, IT IS Eiriacted that no such By-Law shall have any force until confirmed by a By-Law of the Council of the county in which the township is situate at an ordinary session of the County Council not sooner than three months nor later than one year next after the passing thereof. AND WHEREAS the Township of Dunwich being one of the townships situate within the County of Elgin. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin in County Council assembled under and by vir- tue of the authority aforesaid- That By-Law Number one hundred and sixty-nine of the Council of the Municipality of the Township of Dunwich be ànd the same is hereby confirmed. AND IT IS enacted that this By-Law shall be in force and take effect from and after the eleventh day of November 1869. Passed in Council this eleventh day of November A.D 1869. NOTE: See copy of By-Law 169 (Dunwich) TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH By-Law No. 169 TO CONVEY TO ROBERT BACKUS AND JAMES CRIMEAN THE ORIGINAL ROAD ALLOWANCE BETWEEN THE 9 CONCESSION AND 10 CONCESSION AND RUNNING ALONG LOTS 13 & 14 IN SAID CONCESSIONS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF DUN- WICm FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE SUM OF SIXTY DOLLARS." WHEREAS application has been made ~o the Municipal Council of the Township of Dunwich by Robert Backus and James Crimean that the said original road allowance is of no benefit to the public. IT IS IN the opinion of this Council of the said Town- ship of Dunwich useless to the public as a highway on account of Talbot Street. They therefore deem it expedient to convey to the said Robert Backus and James Crimean the said original road allowance for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars. AND WHEREAS notice regarding this By-Law has been given as required by law of the intention to make application for this By-Law to convey the said original road allowance to Robert Backus and James Crimean by notices being posted up and inserted in the Home Journal. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the Muni- cipality of Dunwich under authority and by virtue of the 332nd Section of the Municipal Institution Act 22nd Victoria, Chapter 54 of the Consolidated Statutes of Upper Canada that the Council of the MunÅ“c~pality of Dunwich do convey the said original road allowance to the said Robert Backus and James Crimean for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars and the Reeve of the Municipality of the said Township of Dunwich is hereby auth- orized on behalf. of the Council of the Munióipality to execute Deeds for thesàid. rO.ad:'·âlilowance:.:¡¡s;'ð,escribed·. ,àbovetto: the (cont'd) By-Law No. 186 Page 3 said Robert Backus and James Crimean.
