PEACE OR OF OYER AND TERMINER AND GENERAL JAIL DELIVERY
\VHEREAS by an Act passed by the Parliament of the
Province of Ontario in th~ year 1869, entitled an Act to
amend Subsections two and three of Section nine of the Law
Reform Act of 1868 and to repeal Section two of Chapter 121
of the Consolidated St.atutes for Upper Canada, entitled an
Act respecting the expenditure.: of County FundS.. for, certain
purposes within Upper Canada.
\~iEREBY IT IS enacted that from and after the pass-
ing of said Act such of the said accounts and demands as
shall be delivered on the first days of the sittings of the
said Court of General Sessions of the Peace or of Oyer and
Terminer and General Jail delivery shall be audited by a Board
of Nudit composed of the Chairman of the Court of General
Sessions of the Peace and two other persons who shall be
appointed annually for that purpose by the County Council of
such County at their first meeting in each year not more than
one of such persons being a member for the time being of
such County Council
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the
County of Elgin in County Council As.sembled and by virtue of
the authority aforesaid.
THAT David J. Hughes , Chairman of the General Sessions
of the Peace, Samuel Price and Stephen Wade be and are here-
by appointed and constituted a Board of Audit to audit such
accounts and demands as shall be deliverBd on the first days
of the sittings of the Courts of General Sessions of the Peace
or of Oyer and Terminer and General Jail delivery for the
year 1871
AND IT IS enacted that such Board of Audit shall
ræ'eive from the COJ1!1ty Treasurer the sum of two dollars each
for their attendance at such audit
AND THAT this By-Law shall take effect from and
after the twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-one
