By-Law No. 199
"TO CONFIRM BY-LAW NUMBER 182 OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH."
WHEREAS on the sixteenth day of August A.D. 1870
this Counci¡ of the Township of Dunwich passed By-Law Num~
ber one hundred and eig~ty-two to convey to Jacob Johnson
the original road allowance between the eighth and ninth,
d:oncessions and running along parts of Lots Lettered Band
C in said d@ncessions in the Township of Dunwich for and in
consideration of the sum of forty dollars,as mentioned in
copy of said By-Law hereunto annexed.
AND WHEREAS by the second Subsection of Section
354 of the Act 29-30 Victoria, Chapter 51, it is enacted
that no such By-Law shall have any force until cOnfirmed by
a By-Law of the Council of the County in which the Township
is situate at an ordinary session of the County Council not
sooner than three months nor later than one year next after
the passing thereof.
AND WHEREAS the Township of Dunwich being one of
the Townships situate within the County of Elgin
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the
County of Elgin in County Council assembled under and by
virtue of the authority aforesaid,
THAT By-Law Number one hundred and eighty-two of
the Municipality of Dunwich be and the same is hereby con-
firmed.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that :;thisBy-Law, shall be in
force and take effect from and after the twenty-sixth day of
January A.D. 1871.

TO CONVEY TO JACOB JOHNSTON THE ORIGINAL ROAD ALLOWANCE BE-
TWEEN THE EIGHTH AND NIN'l'lC CONCESSIONS AND RUNNING ALONG
PARTS OF LOTS LETTERED BAND C IN SAID CONCESSIONS IN THE
TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE SUM OF
FORTY DOLLARS."
WHEREAS application has been made to the Municipal
Council of the Township of Dunwich by Jacob Johnston that the
said original road allowance is of no benefit to the public.
IT IS IN the opinion of this Council of the said
Township of Dunwich useless to the public as a highway on
account of the impractàbility of making a passåble road of
it, they therefore deem it 'expedient to convey to the said
Jacob Johnston the said original road allowance for ànd in
consideration of the sum of forty dollars.
AND WHEREAS notice regarding this By-Law has been
given as required by Law of the intention to make applicat-
ion for this By-Law to 'convey the said original road allow-
ance to Jacob Johnston by notices being posted up and inserted
in the Home Journal.

BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the
Municipality of Dunwich under authority and by virtue of the
332nd Section of the'Muniéipal Institution Act 22 Victoria,
Chapter 54 of the Consolidated Statutes of Upper Canada that
the Council of the Municlþality of Dunwich do convey the said
original road allowance to the said Jacob Johnston for and
in consideration of the sum of forty dollars and the Reeve
of the Municipality of the said Township of Dunwich is here-
by authorized on behalf of the Council of the Municipality
to execute Deeds for the said road allowance as described
above to the said J~cob Johnsto~.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that the Reeve of Dunwich
is hereby authorized to attach the seal of the Corporation
to the said conveyance for said original road allowance as
mentioned in this By-Law.
