215 COUNTY OF' ELGIN 215 By-Law No " AUDIT COUNTY ACCOUNTS OF AUDIT TO TO APPOINT A BOARD 1872 eight of Passed 26th January WHEREAS by the Act 33rd Victoria Chapter the Statutes of Ontario it is enacted that - Such of the accounts as shall be delivered on the first day of the sittings of the Court of General Sessions of the Peace or of Oyer and Terminer and General Delivery shall be audited by a Board of Audit composed of the Chair- man of the Court of General Sessions of the Peace and two other persons who shall be appointed annually for that pur- pose by the County Council of the County at the first meet- ing in each year, not more than one of such persons being a member for the time being of such County Council BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the County Council of the County of Elgin in Council assembled and under the auth- ority aforesaid - That D. J. Hilighes Chairman of the Court of General Sessions of the Peace for the County of Elgin, Samuel Price and John Smith Esquires be and are hereby appointed a Board of Audit to audit such accounts and demands as shall be de- livered on the first days of the sittings of the Court of General Sessions of the Peace or of Oyer and Terminer and General Jail delivery for the year 1872. AND IT IS enacted that such Board of Audit shall receive from the County Treasurer the sum of two dollars each for their attendance at such audit.
