222 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 222 "TO RAISE THE SUM OF THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE SUPPORT OF COMMON SCHOOLS BEING AN AMOUNT EQUIVALEN'r TO THE LEGISLATIVE GRANT FOR THE YEAR ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO". WHEREAS it is necessary and required under the School Act to raise amongst the Townships in the County an amount at least equal to the Legislative Grant. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin with the consent of the County Council of said County - That the sum of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars be raised in the several Township Municipalities in the County of Elgin during the present year t.oward the payment of qual- ified teachers of Common Schools in said County as per sched- ule herewith:- Aldborough $ 431.
