231 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 231 TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS ON COUNTY LINES AND BRIDGES" Passed 30 January 1873 WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to grant certain amounts to improve the bridges on boundary lines between the County of Elgin and adjoining County of Kent and County of Middlesex. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin in County Council assembled and under author- ity and by virtue of the Municipal Institutions Act. THAT the sum of one hundred dollars be granted towards the erection of a bridge on the county line between Elgin and Kent south of the Talbot Road, provided the County of Kent grants a like amount and that the Reeve of Aldborough be a Commissioner to expend the amount. THAT the sum of one hundred dollars be granted for the repair of the MacIntosh Bridge provided Middlesex grant a similar amount for the like purpose and that Archibald Kerr be a Commissioner to expend the grant. AND that Duncan McColl be Commissioner to complete the bridge at Patersons Creek as contracted for by Mr. Omalley and that Dugald McLean be a Commissioner to act with the Middlesex authorities or Kent commissioners in the erection of a toll house at the Bothwell Bridge. AND IT IS enacted that this By-Law shall be in force and take effect from and after the First day of February 1873.
