232 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 232 "TO APPOINT COUNTY AUDITORS WITH THE COUNTY OF ELGIN FOR THE YEAR 1873". Passed in Council 30 January 1873. WHEREAS by the 170th Section of the Municipal Act every Council is required to appoint two Auditors to examine and report upon all accounts affecting the Corporation or relating to any matters under its control or within its jurisdiction for the year ending the thirty-frist day of December preceding their appointment. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin in Coµnty Council assembled and under the authority aforesaid. That William J. White and John P. Martyn be and are hereby appointed Auditors to audit all accounts affecting the County of Elgin for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two and also all school accounts or other accounts required by statute or order in Council to be so audited. AND THAT said Auditors shall receive for their services during the current year the sum of thirty dollars each and that this By-Law shall take effect from and after the Thirty-first day of January A.
