236A COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 236A "TO CONFIRM BY-LAW NO. 278 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF YARMOUTH" Passed 2nd June 1873 WHEREAS under the Municipal Institutions Act, it is recited that By-Laws passed by local municipalities for the disposal of original road allowances require to be con- firmed by a By-Law of the County Council passed at a general meeting of said County Council not less than three months nor more than twelve months after the said By-Law has been passed. BE IT THEREFORE enacted under the authority afore- said by the County Council of the County of Elgin in Council assembled. THAT By-Law No. 278 of the Township of Yarmouth passed on the Twenty-third day of August A.D. 1872, to close up part of the orginal allowance between lots numbers five and six in the eighth concession of said township and to convey the same to Kenyon Cox of the City of New York, the owner of the land adjoining. AND that the same be and is hereby confirmed (The original was nòt signed or sealed.)
