TO FORM HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN AND
"
DETERMINE THE LIMITS THEREOF
Passed in Council 5 June 1873
WHEREAS IT IS enacted under the Act thirty-fourth
Victoria, Chapter thirty-three of the Statutes of the Prov-
ince of Ontario
THAT every County Council shall determine the lim-
its of each High School District for each Grammar School now
existing within the County and may for in the whole or part
of one or more Townships, Towns and Villages within its
jurisdiction into a High School District and the High School
Board of such District shall possess all the powers within
the said District for the support and managemant of their
High School and in respect to the County Council as are pos-
sessed under the Grammar School Acts.
AND the County Council may appoint and determine
the continuance and succession in office of six duly quali-
fied persons as members of such High School Board, provided
however, that existing Grammar School Divisions already est-
ablished shall be called High School Districts and continue
as such till otherwise altered by By-Law of such County Council
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the
County of Elgin in County Council assembled
THAT the County of Elgin be divided into High School
Districts as foililows;
of Vienna and the Township
Number One
To comprise the Village
of Bayham
South Dor-
Number Two
To comprise the Townships of Malahide
chester and the Villàge of Aylmer.
Southwold,
Number Three
To comprise the Townships of Yarmouth,
Dunwich and Aldborough.
AND IT IS further enacted that the following Trust-

District Number one comprising the Village of Vienna
and Township of Bayham, Reverend J. Shu1he D.D. & Hugh Sells
with term of office for three years, John Crawford, Robert
McCal1y for two years, George Suffel and Charles Dreseke for
one year.
District Number two comprising the Townships of
Ma1ahide, South Dorchester and the Village of Aylmer.

AND IS ALSO enacted that the sum of three hundred
dollars to granted to District Number three to carry out the
arrangement made with the St. Thomas High School Board for
the admission of County pupils to said School free fòr the
year 1873.
AND IT IS enacted that this By-Law shall take effect
and be in force from and after the sixth day of June A.D. 1873
