"TO RASIE AMOUNT FOR COMMON SCHOOLS EQUIVALENT TO THE GOVERN-
MENT GRANT."
Passed 5 June 1873.
WHEREAS by the School Act, County Councils are r.e-
quir.ed to raise an amount equal or not less than the Govern-
ment Grant for the support of duly qualified Teachers in the
County of Elgin for the year 1873.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the County Council of
the County of Elgin
THAT the sum of four thousand and sixty three dol-
lars be raised in the several Townships in the County being
an amount equivalent to the Government Grant as per schedule
as follows;
