244 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 244 TO ESTABLISH A LOCK UP HOUSE IN THE INCQRPORATED VILLAGE OF AYLMER. " Passed 12th November 1873. WHEREAS a Lock Up House having been erected in the Village of Aylmer, it is deemed expedient to establish the same by By-Law of this Council and fix the amount to be 'paid for the Keeper, thereof as authorized by the 351st Section of the Municipal Act of 1873. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin in Council assembled that the Lock Up House in the village be and the same is hereby established. AND IT IS ALSO enacted that the sum of forty dol- lars per annum be paid to Keeper thereof.
