By-Law No. 245'
"TO REPEAL BY-LAW NUMBER 239 AND TO APPOINT ONE INSPECTOR OF
WEIGHTS AND MEASURES FOR THE COUNTY OF ELGIN."
Passed 13th November 1873.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the
County of Elgin in Council assembled
THAT By-Law Number two hundred and thirty-nine
appointing two Inspectors of Weights and Measures ~or this
County be and the same is hereby repealed.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that John King be and is
hereby appointed Inspector of Weights and Measures for the
County of Elgin.
AND THAT it shá11 be the duty of said Inspector to
visit all the villages and important places in the County once
in each year and to give ten days notice in the provincial
places in each riding of his intended visits.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that this By-Law shall be
in force and take effect on and after the fourteenth day of
November A.D. 1873.
