247 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 247 "TO APPOINT TRUSTEES OF HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN." Passed 5th February 1874. WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to appoint Trustees for the several High Schools in the County of Elgin. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation: of the County of Elgin in County Council assembled and under auth- ority of the School Act. THAT Samuel Clutten and George J. Walker be re- appointed Truste§s of the Aylmer High School for the term of two years. THAT Charles Draeseke and George Suffel be appointed Trustees of the Vienna High School with term of office for two years. THAT the Aylmer High School Board of Trustees be paid in support of said School an amount equivalent to one half of the Government Grant to said School for the year 1873 and THAT the Treasurer pay to the Aylmer and Vienna High School Boards amounts equivalent to one half the Govern- ment Grant to said Schools for the year 1874 as soon as the amount of said Government Grants are ascertained. AND THAT the sum of three hundred dollars be given as a donation to the St. Thomas High School on condition that County pupils are admitted to said school free of expense.
