"TO APPOINT AN ARBITRATOR TO ARBITRATE ON THE MATTER OF SET-
TLEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN AND THE TOWN OF ST. THOMAS."
WHEREAS differences have arisen between the Council
of the County of Elgin and the Town of St. Thomas in the
settlements of the amount to be paid annually by the said
Town to the County on account of the administration of Just-
ice use of Gaol and Court House and the expenses of repair-
ing the Jail of said County.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the
County of Elgin in County Council assembled and under author-
ity of the Municipal Institutions Act
THAT Andrew Murray of the Village of Aylmer be and
is hereby appointed an arbitrator in the matter of differnece
between the County of Elgin and the Town of St. Thomas respect-
ing the amount to be paid annually during the next five years
by the said Town of St. Thomas to said County of Elgin on
account of the administration of Justice, use of Court House
and Jail and improveménts recently made in Jail premises and
,yards.
Passed in Council this fifth day of February A.D.
1874 and to be in force from and after the day of the passing
thereof.
