256 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 256 ïO CONFIRM BY-LAW 16_0F_THE COUNCIL OF THE T~HIE Q:E BAYHAM". WHEREAS it is enacted under section 441 of the Municipal Institutions Act of 1873 that By-Law affecting road require to be confirmed by By-Law of the County Council before being lawfully passed, BE IT THEREFORE enacted under and by virtue of the authority aforesaid by the County Council of the County of Elgin in Council assembled. That By-Law number 316 of the Council of the Township of Bayham passed on the 30th day of March A.D. 1874 to convey a certain road allowance to Jarvis Prichard being parts of lots numbers three and four on the fourth concession of said Township of Bayham be and is hereby confirmed. AND IT IS HEREBY enacted that this By-Law shall take effect and be in force from añd after the eleventh day of November A.D. 1874. Ball a Provincial Land Surveyor at the request of Mr. Prichard reported to this Council under date of March 29th A.D. 1873 that the said original road allowance is impracticable for a Public Road only at great cost and which report is hereunto annexed AND WHEREAS proper notices have been given and no opposition offered in respect to the passing a By-Law to convey the said original road allowance. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Bayham in Municipal Council assembled under and by virtue of the authority vested in them by the Municipal Laws of the Province of Ontario That a conveyance in fee simple be made by the said Corporation to the said Jarvis Prichard, his heirs and assigns to that portion of the said original road allowance and which may be described as being in two parcels as follows: The first parcel containing by admeasurement two acres be the same more or less, and commencing at the south westerly angle of lot number three in the fourth concession of the said township. Thence south seventy-two degrees east along the front of the same, twenty-one chains, three liriks more or less to the south (Cont'd) Page 3 256 By-Law No easterly angle of said lot Thence south one chain, six links to the south limit of said road allowance. Thence north seventy-two degrees west, parallel with the front of said lot twenty- one chains, three links more or less to intersect a line produced due south from the place of beginning.
