WHEREAS by the amended Municipal Act of 1874
County Councils are required to keep in repair bridges
(Over one hundred feet in length) across streams in
Incorporated Villages in the County over one hundred
feet in width.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation
of the County of Elgin in County Council assembled, that
Ewen Cameron Jr., John Ellison and Dugald Ferguson be
and are he~eby appointed Commissioners to attend to the
Port Stanley bridge with power to make such repairs as
may be necessary for the safety of public travel.
AND that the Treasurer is hereby authorized
to pay the orders of said Commissioners for the work
and materials used in repairing said bridge.
