264 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 264 A BY-LAW TO GRANT THE SUM OF FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS TO AID IN ERECTING A BRIDGE ACROSS THE RIVER THAMES BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF MOSA AND THE TOWNSHIP OF ALDBOROUGH AT THE GRAHAM ROAD". Passed 18th June 1875. WHEREAS this Council has been notified.bY,the County of Middlesex that a By-Law was passed by the Council of Middlesex on the twelfth day of June 1875 to grant the sum of fifteen hundred dollars for the purpose of aiding in the construction of a bridge across the River Thames be- tween the Townships of Aldborough and Mosa at the Graham Road in the Township of Aldborough and Number Eight Side Road in the Township of Mosa. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin and under and by virtue of the 416th Section of the Municipal Institutions Act of 1873 - THAT the sum of fifteen hundred dollars be and is hereby granted toward the erection of a bridge across the River Thames between the Counties of Middlesex and Elgin and at the Graham Road in the Township of Aldborough and Number Eight Side Road in the Township of Mosa. AND THAT an Engineer or Commissioner be appoint- ed by this Council to act in conjunction with the Engineer of,. the County of Middlesex to advertise for tenders and to procuDe plans and specifications for the erection of said bridge and that the County Treasurer of Elgin be and is hereby authorized to pay the said sum of fifteen hundred dóllars on certificate of said Engineer or Commissioner in certain sums as the work progresses. AND THAT Peter Stalker and John Galbraith be here- by appointed Commissioners to act in conjunction with the Middlesex Authorities in the erection of said bridge with authority to grant certificates for payment of the works as they progress. AND IT IS enacted that this By-Law shall take effect aftèr the 18th day of June 1875.
