By-Law No. 298
"TO APPOINT SUB TREASURERS OF SCHOOL MONIES IN THE SEVERAL
MUNICIPALITIES IN THE COUNTY."
Passed 21 June 1877.
BE IT ENACTED by the County Council of the County
of Elgin
That the Treasurers of the several Township Muni-
cipalities in the County and are hereby appointed Sub
Treasurers' of school monies.
AND IT IS ENACTED that it shall be the duty of each
Sub Treasurer to enter in Bond with the County in the sum of
two thousand dollars with two sureties for the due performance
of the duties of Sub Treasurer and the duly accounting for the
money and receipts belonging to the said office of Sub Trea-
surer.
And that said Sub Treasurer be paid the sum of twenty
dollars each annually for services of his office.
And the County Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay
amount to the Sub Treasurers.
