TO APPOINT AUDITORS TO AUDIT THE ACCOUNTS OF THE COUNTY

WHEREAS under the Municipal Institutions Act
each Municipal Council is required to appoint at the first
meeting in January two Auditors to audit the accounts of
the Municipality.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the County Council
of the County of Elgin under the authority aforesaid
that John P. Martyn and Charles Roe be and are hereby
appointed Auditors of the County accounts.
AND IT SHALL BE the duty of the said Auditors
to audit all accounts as required by Statute or Order of
Council during the year one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.
AND IT SHALL BE the duty of said Auditors to
audit all school accounts and other accounts of monies
received or paid by the County Treasurer and that the
remuneration be thirty dollars each for their services.
