WHEREAS the bridge across the River Thames at
or near the Townline between the Townships of Dunwich and
Southwold and known as the MacIntosh Bridge being old and
decayed, it is deemed necessary that a new structure be
erected in lieu thereof by the Counties of Elgin and Middlesex.

BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the

co-operate with the County Council of the County of Middle-
sex in the erection of a bridge across the River Thames in
place of the MacIntosh Bridge and that

be and are hereby appointed a special Committee to act
jointly with a Committee of the Middlesex County Council
in the erection of said bridge and abutments on such plan
and of such materials as may be approved of by said Com-
mittee of the County of Elgin.

AND IT IS ALSO enacted that sàid Committee shall
have full power to make contracts for the erection of said
bridge for such amount as they may consider necessary and
the Warden of the County of Elgin is hereby authorized to
execute contract or construct for that purpose and attach
the Seal of the Corporation thereto, and said Committee
shall have power to appoint Commissioners and Engineers
to superintend said works
