Passed 13 November 1879
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Village of
Springfield have petitioned the Elgin County Council to
amend By-Law 294, being a By-Law passed by the Elgin
County Council to incorporate the Village of Springfield
was found to be incomplete.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of
the County of Elgin under authprijy of the fifteenth
section of the Municipal Institutions Act that By-Law
number 294 to incorporate the Village of Springfield be
and is hereby amended so that part of the description
of the boundaries of the Village of Springfield in
Malahide shall read as follows:
COMMENCING on the southern limit of road
allowance between the Townships of Malahide and South
Dorchester at a point ten chains westerly from the north
east angle of lot number (18) eighteen in the ninth
concession of said Township of Malahide.
THENCE southerly parallel to the eastern limit
of said lot number eighteen, forty-two chains, seventy-
five links more or less to the northerly limit of the
south hundred acres.

more or less to the limit between said lots numbers
nineteen and twenty.
THENCE northerly on the limit between lots
nineteen and twenty in said Township of Malahide, eighty-

of said lot number twenty, twenty chains more or less to

Village of Springfield humbly sheweth
THAT WHEREAS cer.tain errors exist in the
description of the Yillage of Springfield as contained
in By-Law No. 294, of the Elgin County Council whereby
said Village was Incorporated.

Honorable Body to pass a By-Law so amending By-Law No
as that the description of the Village of Springfield
shall read as follows:

I have no idea when this took place, must be back in
the '70's some time. If you have such By-Law, will
you be kind enough to send me a duly certified copy
thereof along with a memorandum of your fees for the
same?

promptly as possible.
