339 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 339 "TO CONFIRM BY-LAW NUMBER 277 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH . WHEREAS By-Law Number 277 was passed by the Coun- cil of the Township of Dunwich on the twenty-eighth day of May A.D. 1880, to dispose of an original allowance for road between lots number six and seven, in the tenth concession of said ~ownship of Dunwich. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin in County Council assembled, that By-Law Number 277 of the Township of Dunwich Corporation, be and the same is hereby confirmed. McKay County Clerk See copy of By-Law No. 277 (Dunwich) (Cont'd) '.~ -~ Page 2 339 By-Law No. TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH 277 By-Law No. A BY-LAW FOR THE STOPPING UP AND SALE OF THE ORIGINAL SEVEN NUMBER SIX AND ALLOWANCE FOR ROADS BETWEEN LOTS IN THE TENTH CONCESSION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH WHEREAS application has been made to the Munici- pal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich in the County of Elgin, for the passing of a By-Law for the closing up and sale of that part of the original allowance for road between lots number six and seven in the tenth con- cession of the said Township of Dunwich AND WHEREAS the same is useless to the public and it is desirable that the same should be closed up and sold AND WHEREAS due notice has been given by the Clerk of the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich, of the app- lication fore said By-Law in accordance with the first and second sub-section of the five hundred and sixth section of Chapter one hundred and seventy-four of the Revised Statutes of the Province of Ontario. AND WHEREAS Thomas C. Humphries of the said Town- ship ò~ Dunwich, Yeoman is the owner of the land adjoining on the west side of the said original allowance for road and Meredith Conn of the said Township of Dunwich, grain buyer is the owner of the land adjoining on the east side of the said original allowance. AND WHEREAS the said Council of the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich have for the consideration in this By-Law appearing determined to closevup the said or- iginal allowance for road and to sell the same to the said Thomas C. Humphries and Meredith Conn in accordance with their respective applications afo~esàid. AND WHEREAS it has been agreed between the said Thomas C. Humphries and Meredith Conn and the said the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich. THAT so soon as this present By-Law shall have been confirmed by the County Council of the County of Elgin the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich and the Council. (Cont'd) Page 3 339 277 By-Law No By-Law No Township of Dunwich THEREOF shall convey to the said Thomas C,; Humphries and Meredith Conn and their heirs equal proportions of the said original allowance for road and that the said Thomas C. Humphries and Meredith Conn shall as the equivalent and price of the said original allowance for road pay to the said Council the sum of sixty dollars in equal pro- portions BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the said the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich that the said original allowance for road in the preamble hereto described shall from henceforth cease to be a public high- way and the same is hereby forever closed. AND BE IT FURTHER enacted by the said the Munici- pal Council of the Township of Dunwich, that the said orig- inal allowance for road so closed as aforesaid shall be and the same is hereby sold to the said Thomas C. Humphries and Meredith Conn. AND THAT so soon after the confirmation of this By- Law by the .said County Council as the said Thomas C. Humphries and Meredith Conn shall payor cause to be paid to the said Corporation of the Township of Dunwich the said sum of sixty dollars the said Corporation of the Township of Dunwich and the Council thereof shall at the request and expense of the said Thomas C. Humphries and Meredith Conn their heirs or assigns by a proper and sufficient conveyance convey the said original allowance to the said Thomas C. Humphries and Meredith Conn their heirs and assigns forever. of the said Corporation is hereby corporate seal of the said Corporat- And the Reeve authorized to affix the ion to such conveyance.
