By-Law No. 348
TO FIX THE SALARY OF THE GAOLER AND TURN~EY OF THE ELGIN
COUNTY GAOL".
Passed June 9th 1881
BE IT enacted by the County Council of the County
of Elgin in County Council assembled -
That the salary of the Gaoler be Six Hundred Dollars
per annum.
That the salary of the Turnkey be one dollar and ten
cents per day.
AND IT IS ALSO enacted that the By-laws or orders
in Council heretofore passed in that behalf be repealed.
And that this By-law be subject to the revision
of the Inspector of Prisons and take effect on the first day of
July next.
