TO APPOINT COUNTY AUDITORS FOR THE YEAR 1882 .
Passed 27th January 1882
WHEREAS under section number 254 of the Municipal
Institutions Act every Council shall at the first meeting
thereof after being duly organized, appoint two Auditors, one
of whom shall be such person as the head of the Council nom-
inates said Auditors to examine and report upon all accounts
affecting the Corporation or relating to any matter under its
control or within its jurisdiction.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted under the authority afore-
said -
That Samuel McColl the nominee of the Warden and
Thomas M. Nairn are hereby appointed Auditors of the County
Accounts of the County Treasurer.
And it shall be the duty of said Auditors to audit
all accounts as required by statute or order in Council during
the year 1882 and also all school accounts and other accounts
of monies received or paid by the County Treasurer.
And that the Auditors statement be made in detail
with dates attached to receipts and payments and that said
Auditors receive the sum of Twenty Dollars each for their
services.
