368 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 368 "TO APPOINT KENNETH W. lVJcKAY OF THE CITY OF ST. THOMAS TO THE OFFICE OF CLERK OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN." Passed 15th December 1882 WHEREAS the office of Clerk of the County of Elgin is now vacant and ùtHEREAS under the authority of Section number two hundred and thirty-seven of the Municipal Institutions Act every Council is required to appoint a Clerk. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the lVJunicipal Cor- poration of the County of Elgin in Council assembled and under the authority aforesaid That Kenneth W. McKay of the City of St. Thomas be and is hereby appointed to the office of Clerk of the said County of Elgin. That he shall be required to perform the various duties of the office as directed by law, By-Laws or Orders in Council - And that he shall receive a salary of six hundred dollars per annum payable quarterly for performing the du- ties of the said office.
