372 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 372 "TO CONFIRM BY-LAWS NUMBER 303 AND OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DumvrcH." Passed 26th January 188J. WHEREAS By-Law number JOJ was passed by the Municipal Council of the Township of Dunwich on the 29th September 1882 To authorize the c±osing up and conveying to Talbot McBeth and George McBeth a portion of the original Talbot Road in the Township of Dunwich in place of a road conveyed to the Corporation of the said Township of Dunwich. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Corporation of the County of Elgin in County Council assembled That By-Law number 303 of the Township of Dunwich to convey a portion of the original Talbot Road to George McBeth and Talbot McBeth in lieu of a portion of lot twenty- four in the eleventh concession of said Township of Dunwich laid out as a new road And that it is also enacted that said By-Law num- ber J03 is hereby confirmed as hereunto annexed. AND ALSO IT IS enacted by the said Corporation of the County of Elgin in County Council assembled That By-Law number J05 of the said Township of Dunwich to close up and dispose of the road allowance be- tween lots numbers six and seven in Concession A of the said Township of Dunwich and conveyed to John Mennie in lieu of the road now travelled through his lot And that sàid By-Law number 305 is hereby con- firmed. (Cont'd) Page 2 372 By-Law No TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH 303 By-Law No MACBETH AND BY-LAW FOR CLOSING AND CONVEYING TO TALBOT IN THE TOWN- TALBOT ROAD MACBETH A PORTION OF THE GEORGE " WHEREAS Talbot Macbeth and George Macbeth being the owners of lot twenty-four in the eleventh Concession of the Township of Dunwich have conveyed to the Corpora- tion of the Township of Dunwich a portion of such lot to be used as a public highway in lieu of that circuitous portion of the Talbot Road which may be described as lying on either side of a line drawn from a point where the centre of the said Talbot Road intersects the limit be- tween lots twenty-four and A in the said Concession; SHIP OF DUNWICH Thence south forty-three degrees thirty-four minutes west three chains sixty-five links; thence north eighty-four degrees twenty-two minutes west five chains ninety-one links; thence south fifty-six degrees six minutes west two chains fifty-three links; Thence south seventy-three degrees eleven minutes west four chains ninety-two links; thence south forty"four degrees twenty-one minutes west six chains twenty-five links; thence south nine degrees forty-one minutes west three chains forty-nine links; Thence south thirty-eight degrees one minute east six chains sixteen links; thence south fifty-four degrees sixteen minutes east seven chains seventy-seven links. AND WHEREAS the consideration for the said con- veyance from the said Talbot Macbeth and George Macbeth to the said Corporation was among other things that the said Corporation should close and convey to them the said circuitous portion of the said Talbot Road herein before particularly described together with old bridge over the Talbot Creek and the said Talbot Macbeth and George Macbeth have applied to the said Corporation to pass a By-Law for closing and conveying the same to them. AND WHEREAS notices of such application have been duly given by the Clerk of the said Municipality in accordance with the five hundred and sixth section of chapter one hundred and seventy-four of the Revised Sta- tutes of Ontario and no person has opposed such application. (Cont'd) By-Law No 372 Page 3 NOW THEREFORE be it enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich as follows - 1. That all that circuitous portion of the Talbot Road running through part of lot twenty-four in the eleventh Concession of the said Township of Dunwich and hereinbefore particularly described be and the same is hereby stopped up and closed and that the same shall be conveyed to the said Talbot Macbeth and George Macbeth in fee simple but at their own expense. 2. And that the Reeve of the said Township shall execute a conveyance from the Corporation to them in fee simple and affix thereto the corporate seal of the said Township. Leitch Reeve (Cont'd) By-Law No. 372 Page 4 TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH By-Law No. 305 ~'Aþ'Y-LAW FOR CLOSING AND CONVEYING TO JOm~ l~NNI~ THE ßOAD ALLOWANCE BETWEEN LOTe NUMBERS SIX AND SEVEN IN A CONCESSION IN THE TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH." viliEREAS application has been made to the Muni- cipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Dun- wich for the passing of a By-Law for the closing up and disposing of the road allowance between lots numbers six and seven in A concession of the said Township of Dunwich. AND viliEREAS the same is useless to the public and it is desirable that the same should be closed AND WHEREAS due notice has been given by the Clerk of the Corporation of the said Township of Dunwich in accordance with the five hundred and sixth section of chapter one hundred and seventy-four of the Revised Statutes of Ontario and no person has opposed such ap- plication. NOW TrÅ’REFORE be it enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Dunwich that the said road allowance between lots number six and seven in A concession of the said Township of Dunwich be and the same is hereby stopped up and closed and that the same shall be conveyed to the said John Mennie in lieu of the road now travelled through his place in fee simple but at his own expense. And the Reeve of the said Township of Dunwich shall execute a conveyance from the corporation of the said John Mennie in fee simple and affix thereto the corporation seal of the said Township.
