"TO APPOINT A BOARD OF AUDIT IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN FOR
THE YEAR 1884".
Passed 25 January 1884.
WHEREAS under Section seven of Chapter eighty-
five of the Revised Statutes of Ontario.
Every County Council is required to appoint annual-
ly at its first meeting in every year a. Board of Aµdit com-
posed of the Judge of the County Court and two other persons
hot more than one of whom being a member for the being of
such County Council.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Corpor,...."
ation of the County of Elgin in Council assembled and under
the authority aforesaid.
That David John Stughes, Judge of the County Court.
John King Esqr. of Southwold and Samuel S. Clutton Esqr. be
and are hereby appointed a Board of Audit for such accounts
and demands as shall be delivered on the first day of the
sitting of the Court of General Sessions of the Peace or
of Oyer and Terminer and general gaol delivery during the
year 1884.
AND BE IT FURTHER enacted that the persons appoint-
ed to serve on the Board be paid the sum of four dollars per
day for their attendance at such audit and five cents fpr
each mile travelled in respect thereof in going to and from
