"TO AUTHORIZE THE WARDEN TO EXECUTE CONVEYANCES NECESSARY
TO COMPLETE AND EXCHANGE OF CERT AIN LANDS".
Passed 6th June 1884.
WHEREAS it has been deemed expedient by the Muni-
cipal Corporation of the County of Elgin in County Council
assembled to exchange part of the south half of the east
half of lot number thirty-nine on Tàlbot Road east in the
Township of Southwold, purchased by the County under the
authority of By-Law Number 269 and used as an Ind4êtrial
Farm, for a lane one rod in width running along the easterly
boundary of said land and belonging to one John Lyle.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the said County Council
assembled.
I. That the Warden be and is hereby authorized
to execute a conveyance subject to the proviso mentioned in
the next clause to John Lyle of part of the S t of the E !
of lot number 39 on Talbot Road east in the Township of
Southwold which said land may be described as follows. That
is to day:
Commencing on the limit between lots 39 and 40
north on Talbot Road east at the intersection of the limit
between the north and south halves of said lot. Thence south
sixty degrees, west ten chains fifteen and one half links
more or less to the centre line of said lot. Thence south
forty-five degrees east. five rods. Thence north sixty de-
grees, east ten chains fifteen and a half links more of less
to the limit between lots 39 and 40, thence north forty-five
degrees, west along said limit to the place of beginning.
II. That before the said conveyance is executed.
The said John Lyle be and is hereby required to convey to
this County, a lane running along the easterly boundary
of the County Farm, which said lane may be described as
follows. That is to say:
Commencing at the south east angle of lot no. 39
north on Talbot Road, east in the Township of Southwold,
thence north forty-five degrees west, along the limit be-
tween lots numbers 39 and forty, 48 chains and 75 links
more or less to within five rods of centre of said lot
and having a width of one rod on the west side of the line

III. That the said conveyances shall be subject to
the approval of the County Solicitor, and that each party
p~y one half of the expenses in connection with the same
