By-Law No. 395
"TO AUTHORIZE THE WARDEN AND TREASURER TO BORROW THE SUM OF
FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS".
Passed 18th November 1884
BE IT enacted by the County Council of the County of
Elgin under the authority of the Consolidated Municipal Act
of 1883.
THAT the Warden and Treasurer be and are hereþy
authori~ed to borrow the sum of fifteen thousand dollars
to meet the current expenditure of the County.
The money to be borrowed from the Molsons Bank or
other Chartered Bank provided such other Bank charge a lower
rate of discount.
