399 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 399 "TO CONFIRM BY-LAWS NUMBER 420 AND 424 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF B,ÚHAM" . Passed 21st November 1884. WHEREAS By-Law Number 420 of the Township of Bay- ham in the County of Elgin was passed on the 24th day of December 1883 to close up a certain road running through lots number 18 and parts of 17 and 19 in the tenth concess- ion of the said Township of Bayham. And; WHEREAS By-Law Number 424 of the said T.ownship of Bayham was passed on the 3rd day of March 1884, to close up certain roads running through parts of lots numbers 109 and 110 north on Talbot Road east in the Township of Bayham. AND WHEREAS IT IS desirousthat said By-Laws should be confirmed as required by Section 566 of the Consolidated Municipal Act 1883. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the County Council of the County of Elgin. THAT By-Laws Numbers 420 and 424 of the Township of Bayham be and the same are hereby, confirmed. WHEREAS the said laid out road running through parts of lots number 17, 18 and 19 of the said Township of Bayham has become unsafe for public travel and is no longer needed as a public road nor is it considered to be in the interest of the public to keep said road open. BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Bayham in Council assembled that the a- bove named road running through parts of lot no. 17, 18, 19 better known as the Plewes Road be and the same is hereby declared closed. Stratton Clerk Reeve (Cont' d) By-Law No. 399 Page 3 TOWNSHIP OF BAYHAM By-Law No. 424 "A BY-LAW TO CLOSE UP CERTAIN ROADS RUNNING THROUGH PARTS OF LOTS NOS. 109 AND 110 NORTH ON TALBOT ROAD EAST IN THE TOWNSHIP OF BAYHAM." WHEREAS a certain road establishéd1funthevyear óf Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty-two by the Court of Quarter Sessions for the County of Middlesex in accordance with a plan and survey made b~William King Corn- ish and also a road established in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty-seven by the Municipal Coun- cil ó~ the Township of Bayham in accordance with a plan and survey made by Jesse P. Ball said road being established by By-Law Numbered 253 of the Township of Bayham é.ntitled "A By-Law for establishing a road on lots nos. 109 and 110 north on Talbot Road east in the Township of Bayham." AND WHEREAS the above named roads being no longer needed for the public use it is not deemed expedient to put said described roads in a proper state of repair. The said Council of the Township of Bayham therefore deem it right and expedient to close up and abolish said laid out roads. AND WHEREAS due notice has been given as required by Law of the intention of the said Council of the Corpor- ation of the Township of Bayham to pass this By-Law and all persons whose road might be prejudicially effected thereby have been heard. The Municipal Corporation of the Township of Bayham in Council assembled therefore enact. . That the said laid out road established by the Court of Quarter Sessions for the County of Middlesex in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty- two in accordance with a plan and survey made by William King Cornish or that part of the said described road com- mencing at the south west angles of that,part.1ófi lot no. 110 now owned by James G. Pauling through.whic.h,'part>ófsaid ;Lot no. 110 the said describéd road passes thence northerly to the old mill site. (Cont'd) Page 4 Township of Bayham 399 424 . . By-Law No By-Law No ALSO that the said road described and established by By-Law Numbered 253 of the said Township of Bayham passed in accordance with the plan and survey of Jesse P. Ball hereinbefore described shall from and after the confirmation of this By-Law be the Municipal Corporation of the County of Elgin by the Council thereof said hereinbefore described roads shall be closed up and absolutely cease to be public roads in the said Tøwnship of Bayham and the said James G. Pauling is hereby authorized to stop and close up said roads forming parts of ,lots nos. 109 and 110 north on Talbot Road east in the Township of Bayham through the full length and width thereof and allowance therefore which passes through his said lands.
