431 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 431 "TO APPOINT A JANITOR TO TAKE CARE OF COURT HOUSE AND ALL ROOMS AND OFFICES CONNECTED THEREWITH". Passed 17th November 1886 BE IT enacted by the County Council of the County of Elgin - I That John Wyatt be and is hereby appointed janitor and caretaker of the Court House and of all rooms and offices connected therewith. II That the duties of such Caretaker shall be as follows: 1. To sweep and dust all offices once during each day and to keep all other rooms, stairways, windows, etc. swept clean and in good order, 2. To see that the waterclosets in connection with the Court House are kept clean and to flush them at least once a week. 3. To take care of the Flag and to hoist it when ever re- quired to do so. 4. To perform such other work and repairs as in the opinion of the Gaol Committee or County Clerk he should do. 5. That he be paid a salary of ($200.) two hundred dollars per annum, payable quarterly. 6. That By-Law Number 371 be and is hereby repealed. 7.
