By-Law No. 448
"TO APPOINT A KEEPER AND MATRON OF THE ELGIN HOUSE
OF INDUSTRY AND REFUGE".
Passed 28 January 1888
BE IT enacted by the County Council of the
County of Elgin under the authority of the
Consolidated Municipal Act of 1883.
I. THAT William Alldritt be and is hereby appointed
Keeper of the House of Industry and Refuge at a
salary of three hundred and fifty dollars per
annum payable quarterly to commence on the
eleventh day of February 1888.
II. THAT Catherine Alldritt be and is hereby appointed
Matron of the House of Industry and Refuge at a
salary of two hundred dollars per annum payable
quarterly to commence on the first day of
April 1888.
III. THAT all By-Laws heretofore passed in this behalf
ba and are hereby amended accordingly.
