468 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 468 TO APPOINT TRUSTEES OF HIGH SCHOOLS MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF SAID SCHOOLS AND GRANT AID TO MODEL SCHOOL IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN FOR 1890." Passed 31st January 1890. WHEREAS by Section 173 of Chapter 225 and Sections 15, 32, 33 and 34 of Chapter 226 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, every County Council is required to appoint Trustees of High Schools and grant aid to High ând Model Schools in the County. The' County Council of the County of Elgin therefore enacts That William Backhouse be appointed Trustee of the Vienna High School for a term of three years. That G. W. Ling, M.D., Donald McWilliam and Duncan Buchanan be appointed Trustees of the Dutton High School for a term of three years. That Jacob C. Sherks be appointed Trustee of the Aylmer High School for a term of three years. That the following sums be granted to the different High Schools in the Co.unty for the year 1890 on condition that all county pupils are admitted to said schools free of charge. Aylmer High School one thousand seven hundred dollars Vienna High School seven hundred and fifty dollars. Dutton High School one thousand five hundred dollars. St. Thomas Collegiate Institute one thousand four hundred dollars. That the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars be granted to the st. Thomas Model School on condition that all county pupils are admitted free. That the sum of one hundred dollars be granted to the Public School Inspector for postage, stationery and travel- ling expenses for 1890.
