'TO FIX THE EXPENSES OF THE ENQUIRIES DIRECTED TO BE MADE
UNDER THE ACT RESPECTING A LUN~rIC ASYLUMS AND THE CUSTODY
OF INSANE PERSONS".
Passed 8th June 1894.
WHEREAS by Section 37, Chapter 245 Revised
Statutes of Ontario being an Act respecting Lunatic
Asylums and the custody of insane persons, it is enacted
that the expenses of the enquiries directed by this Act
to be made and of conveying an insane person from any
Gaol to an Asylum for the insane, shall be ~~id by the
County, City or separate Town in which the insane person
has been apprehended.
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to fix the amount
of exp~nses to be paid by the County.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the County Council of
the County of Elgin.
1. That the following Schedule Tariff of Fees be
allowed by the County in reference to the examination of
Lunatics:-
To Sheriff
Notice to Judge with cmmittment and papers,
and notice to each Medical Exam-
iner 50
Every necessary letter to Provincial Secretary
Inspector or Warden 50
Copy of Schedule of enquiries 50
Service of Summons and other serJices same
as in Civil actions in County Court
To Count Attorne:'l
Original summonses to Witnesses 40
