That the sum of twenty dollars shall be paid
as a reward to any person or persons who shall pursue
and apprehend or cause to be apprehended any person
or persons guilty of stealing any horse or mare
within the said County of Elgin and that such reward
shall be paid out of the funds of the Corporation on
the conviction of the JUdge before whom the conviction
is obtained.

The County Council of the County of Elgin
therefore enacts-
That the Council of every County or City shall
provide' by By-Law, that a sum not less than twenty
dollars shall be payable as a reward to any person or
persons who shall pursue and apprehend or cause to be
apprehended any person or persons guilty of stealing
any horse or mare within the said County or City
and such reward shall be paid out of the funds of the
Corporation on the conviction of the thief, on the order
of the Judge before whom the conviction is obtained
