- T01IL'!'.HE SALARI:Jf2-0F THE3AOLER. MATRON AND TURNKEYS
OF THE ELGIN COUNTY GAOL".
· Passed 13th November 1895
The Municipal Council of the County of Elgin
enacts' as follows:-
1. That the salary of the Gaoler be six hundred
· dollars per annum payable quarterly.
2. That the salary of the Matron be two hundred
dollars payable quarterly.
). That the salary of the Chief Turnkey and
· assistant be one dollar and twenty-five cents per
day each.
4. That the County Treasurer be authorized to pay
said Turnkeys, at the end of each month upon the
presentation of their accounts duly certified by the
· Gaoler or Sheriff.
5. That this By-Law be in force and take effect
from and after the passing thereof.
