TO APPOINT A BOARD OF AUDIT IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN

Passed 31st January 1896
WHEREAS under section 7 of chapter 84 of the
Revised Statutes of Ontario, every County Council is
required to appoint annually at its first meeting in
every year a Board of Audit composed of the Judge of
the County Court, and two other persons not more than
one of whom shall be a member for the time being of such
County Council.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the
Municipal Corporation of the County of Elgin under the
authority aforesaid.
That D.J. Hughes, Esq. County Judge, S.B. Morris
and W.M. Ford, be and are hereby appointed a Board of
Audit to perform the duties required of them by chapter
84, R.S.O.
Tha.t the members of said audit be paid the sum of
four dollars per day for their services and five cents
per mile in going to and from such audit.
